Shotting Time

Actor Aamir Khan has resumed shooting for his film Ghajini after recovering from right thigh injuries which he received while performing a stunt. Aamir had written in his blog that he is recovering well from his adductor muscle injury and will soon resume shooting. The accident happened last week and Aamir had returned to Mumbai for nursing the injury.

Aamir said that he will be in Hyderabad by the 1st week of May and also said that he has been able to convince his cousin Mansoor Khan to be the producer of his next film Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na. The film also marks the debut of Aamir's nephew Imran Khan. The film also marks the debut of Abbas Tyrewala as a director. Abbas is the writer of several films such as Munna Bhai MBBS, Maqbool, and Main Hoon Na. He further said that he is very happy to ensure that Mansoor will direct the film. He said that when he began directing TZP he needed some one to be the producer of Jannu Tu and so he asked Mansoor to produce it. Though Mansoor was relecutant earlier, later he agreed to produce the film.

Sucessful in box office.

Ghajini becoming the first Bollywood movie to gross Rs 100 crores was a big reason to celebrate. What made this achievement more special was that the movie achieved this feat within a weak of its release. All this called for a grand success party where the entire cast and the crew members of Ghajini includingAamir Khan, A R Murugadoss, Asin and Jiah Khan were present.
Aamir said he was very happy that the hard work put in paid off and the movie was liked by the audience. The perfectionist actor attributed the success of the movie to director A R Murugadoss and said it was an entire team effort which made this happen. Rubbishing the ego clash rumours the leading ladies Asin and Jiah Khan were seen conformable in each others company.

Story

Story of Ghajini

Sanjay Singhania (Aamir Khan), is a rich businessman who owns a cellular phone company named Air Voice. Kalpana (Asin Thottumkal), an advertisement model goes around telling her advertisement crew that she is the love interest of Sanjay, in spite of her having never met him and also goes to the extent of giving an interview about her relationship to a popular magazine. Sanjay happens to hear about this through the media and wants to settle scores with her. On his way, he catches a fleeting glimpse of a young woman (who happens to be Kalpana) helping handicapped children cross a street. It is love at first sight for Sanjay. He moves on to confront Kalpana at her advertisement studio. He is pleasantly surprised to realize that she is the same helpful woman he saw a while ago. He chooses to hide the fact from her that he is Sanjay, calling himself as Manohar. Kalpana eventually falls in love with him.
Once, while on a train to Mumbai, Kalpana saves a group of young girls from abuse by a group of goons led by Lakshman (Pradeep Rawat). After a few days, the same goons come to Kalpana's house in order to avenge their embarrassment. Incidentally, Sanjay arrives at the scene and fights off the goons, but during the ensuing fight, Kalpana is murdered. The irony showcased is that Kalpana never finds out that he is Sanjay. Lakshman then strikes the downcast Sanjay on his head severely with a metal rod. Sanjay survives the blow, but acquires anterograde amnesia because of the trauma of his brain injury. At any given time, he does not remember anything that happened more than 15 minutes back, although he frequently has flashbacks of Kalpana's murder. He determines to take revenge on those responsible for Kalpana's death. The rest of the story is about how Sanjay, along with a medical college student Sunita (Jiah Khan), goes about finding Lakshman and the goons.

Biography

Aamir Khan had the privilege of being born in a noted film family. But we have seen that being born with a silver spoon in mouth isn’t enough to guarantee success in life.

There are many actors who had silver spoons at their disposal all through their lives. Bobby Deol, Kumar Gaurav, Mohnish Bahl, and Abhishekh Bachchan in recent times, had opportunities laid out in platters for them, yet the going never really was strong for these star sons.

Aamir too did not have to strive for an opportunity to be a hero in films, at the same time he was humble enough to boost his prospects with talent and a lot of hard work. He started his career in films with a runaway success called Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, a film directed by his cousin, Mansoor Khan.

Aamir has come a long way since QSQT. Even after spending nearly 15 years in the film industry the desi version of Tom Hanks manages to retain freshness in his performances.

There were hits like Dil, Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahin, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Rangeela, Raja Hindustaani, Ghulam, Sarfarosh and there were the offbeat, critically acclaimed ones like Raakh, Earth-1947.

A seasoned artiste now, Aamir is slowly turning to production. His first film as a producer is a period film titled Lagaan. The film was done at a huge level and Aamir is said to have spent quite a handful in making the film.
